Behind Kuro.a.to
I am a young female architect, born and raised in Italy.
My profession has given me the opportunity to travel a lot in the recent years, between Switzerland, Japan and Belgium, where I currently live.
As an architect I have always been very attentive to small details, compositions, colours and materials and “Kuro.a.to” is a way to express this artistic side of mine in a totally free way. Since 2014, I have been actively pursuing my artistic research, experimenting with various formats, styles, and techniques of expression.
Every painting is born out of a passion for formal and chromatic abstract arrangements inspired by the Japanese art and aesthetics and by patterns of the everyday life.
Each piece is a compositional study, a challenge that superimposes various gestures expressed through different techniques.
The result is a pattern that encapsulates a dynamic thought expressed through an infinite variety of shapes and colours.
