“Tomorrow I will change my mind”

“Tomorrow I Will Change My Mind” was the first solo exhibition of the artist Valentina Previtera, curated by Ada Molinaroli and presented at 694 in the heart of Piacenza. The show invited viewers to set aside adult rigidity and rediscover a playful, intuitive way of seeing, perceiving without the need for explanation.
The works did not demand interpretation; instead, they offered space for a direct, immediate encounter, images that could be “touched with the eyes” and absorbed in their raw essence.

The exhibition brought together works created between 2020 and 2025, including collages, canvases, and textile compositions, revealing a consistent exploration of color and archetypal forms. Arranged site-specifically by Previtera, the vibrant compositions engaged in a dialogue with the solemn architecture of the oratory, creating a contrast between structural gravity and visual lightness.

Realized in collaboration with the architecture and design studio Controforma, founded by Leone Nicolis di Robilant and Giovanni Rinaldi, the show also featured three pieces, Molo, Piattaforma, and Philip, which enhanced the contemporary language of the space while harmonizing with the exhibited works.

In a world that seemed to demand meaning, Previtera’s practice originated from unspoken spontaneity. The absence of explicit narrative was not a void but a deliberate choice: the works did not tell a story or impose a meaning, but created a space for pure observation, like an adult absorbing the raw essence of a child’s drawing. Color, form, and material existed autonomously, free from interpretation, enabling an aesthetic experience where innocence and play reclaimed critical and poetic dignity.
